Good Morning Everyone! I am SUPER BUSY with work, trying to get the Students enrolled and registered for another great semester! I hope the New Year is looking good to everyone so far and it's TIME to get into the REAL TALK BLOGS by Professor JT back into action! I'm excited for what 2013 has in store!
Relationship Abuse is something that has effected us all in some way or fashion in all of our lives. I found out when I was 13 that my Father was abusive to my Mother. I vowed as a Man to never be that way to Women in my life. Whether it was physical, mental, emotional, if we went through it or saw family and friends go through it, it truly diminishes us as a person and keeps us from sharing our hearts for love in our futures. Abuse is nothing to be afraid of, but it is a real topic that IF YOU are going through in any way, you need to share it with someone. ABUSE IN ANY WAY IS NOT LOVE! If a person feels like they need to abuse you in any way, GET AWAY FROM THEM! They can say that they love you all that they want, but an ABUSER would never hurt you and mean that they love you. Some people abuse others because they saw Dad do it to Mom. Even in today's World, people see movies or music videos where people disrespect other people and think that it's COOL to do so, and that is totally not truly! So what about the celebrities today?

We just lived through these last few years seeing Rihanna get completely beat down physically by Chris Brown back in 2009 the night before she was suppose to perform at the Grammy's. In this past year, we have seen Rihanna on several occasions post Twitter Pics and be seen with Chris Brown out and about as they are starting to renew their relationship together. Just in 2012, Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada got married in July, to get divorced at the end of August with Evelyn alleging Chad Johnson "head-butted" her. That this wasn't the FIRST TIME Chad had been physical with her in this relationship according to Evelyn. But now, we see that Evelyn has dropped the Restraining Order against Chad Johnson and they are starting to record episodes of "Basketball Wives" together.

So what are we teaching each other, especially young people about ABUSE? That it is OK to be beat down by someone and come back to them? Does everyone REALLY deserve a second chance? Some people will say "Hey Professor JT, that's them and their thang, that's none of our BUSINESS!" But when you are in the Spotlight all the time and our children are watching these people on a consistent basis, it becomes OUR BUSINESS! A person needs to get MAJOR HELP on the inside when they are abusing people, and it's not something that happens over night! A lot of Counseling, Prayer, and Change has to happen to a person not just when they want to date the person they were with, but when they want to date anyone else! I truly hope all is well with both of these couples, but people, never get ABUSED by anyone! You are better than that and never forget it! READ...SHARE...LOVE! - PROFESSOR JT
